Rebecca Black

Friday, yes we all do look forward to Friday because it is the start of the weekend. One girl made it clear in her music and this catapulted her to popularity level. While the song could have had better lyrics or been sung better, I admit it is very catchy. People don't just get popular without the "Haters" lurking. Ms. Black has her fair share but has handled it well with my admiration because she is just thirteen. I was glad to have read an article that Ms. Black is in the studio, which means she's not backing down on her musical career just because she got a large percentage of dislikes on her You Tube video. While we have the haters hating, Ms. Black is selling her hit on iTunes and progressing with her musical opportunities. One thing to note is that in this life, even if you make it big or small, there are people who are always there to dislike you, those we call the "HATERS". This hasn't stopped Justin Bieber. Has it? He's still singing Baby, Baby, Baby, ohhhhh! Oh well, if I were you (I'm talking about the haters), I will listen to what I like and not listen to something that does not appeal to me. Nobody forced anyone to listen to Rebecca Black's Friday anyway. You just did because it caught your attention. Deal with it.

The Many Uses of The Scarf

This piece of fabric isn't just an accessory but now clothing itself. It could be worn as fashion, or for religious reasons. Sometimes it serves as protection from intense weather conditions. Scarves come in different varieties in terms of fabric type (wool, silk, cotton etc), colors, and sizes. Check out different uses below.

Head tie style

Veil style

Neck wrap and neck tie

As a Top

Toga style

Skirt (I'm not encouraging this due to severe embarrassment if it falls off in public).

Tuscany

Tuscany may well be my dream place to visit after I looked at an advertisement of how I could spend different seasons there. It all had to do with the colors. Even the pictures of winter in the mountains looked spectacular to me, considering I cannot stand the cold. The first time I heard the name "Tuscany," I immediately thought of a resort. Then I researched it and found out that it was a region in Italy. Even better, it was the one place that I could find everything I've ever been interested in. I'm talking about art, music, fashion, pasta, bread, literature, and guys with Italian accents. On a more serious note, I was impressed with the fact that Tuscany was home to Dante, Galileo, Michelangelo, and Leonardo da Vinci. I will visit Tuscany someday and when I do, I will make sure to write to you all about my experiences because something tells me I will have so much to talk about that you will be itching to hear.

Mini Me

Kids dressing like the mini versions of their parents is a trend that designers are quickly popularizing. While this could look cute, some parents take it too far. Some parents forget that the purpose of a mother-daughter or father-son dress-alike look is not for the kids to look exactly like the parents. This is why designers have characterized for adults only and for kids only outfits. Kids can wear appropriate versions of a style and color of their parents outfits and look innocently cute. Parents should try to keep it that way and not create eerie versions of themselves that are just shorter.

NEON

I understand the need to stand out. If you have heard of the saying, "too much of everything is a disease," then believe me when I say it also applies to color coordination of outfits. I want to assume that people who wear neon-colored outfits from head to toe are color blind because that color coordination attempt can be vomit-inducing. The cure to this problem is to tone it down. Add neon colored articles to neutral, or slightly darker ones. Hello fashion police, this is when you are most needed and please remember to charge a fee!!

Fashion in Sports

When we see athletes, we can guess the sports they play by their uniforms. We can recognize football, and basketball jerseys. Other special ones are baseball, and hockey uniforms. There are some sports that don't strictly enforce a kind of uniform but the athletes and the sports they play are still recognizable. An example is golf.

Tennis use to be like that but something is changing. Although tennis guys still keep their dressing to what it should be but the ladies have taken a huge turn. We now see flashy outfits on the tennis court. Sometimes it seems like the athlete was at the club the night before the game and didn't have the chance to change her outfit. Some of these outfits may not look appropriate for the tennis games but the athletes are still allowed to wear them to play. Who wants to be responsible for making an athlete angry before a game? I'm guessing that is why the outfits are overlooked. I'm actually picking on someone here. Serena Williams, great athlete, good manicurist, good dresser off the court, but on the court, not so good.

Killing Two Birds With One Stone

Art is needed in changeable environments - Hall and Johnson
Satisfaction isn't merely gotten from a nice meal but also from the pleasure of something that returns happiness to us.

I just want to show my appreciation for the works of these artists and also point out that I'm a fan of the TV show with the actors displayed below.
