GG's Chuck Bass

miriamslimerence.wordpress.com

2011 has been a year of adding new shows to my already existing list, making it a bunch of shows to impossibly follow up on TV. It's quite sad that I didn't find many shows boring so I could easily eliminate some from my list. Instead, most of the shows I already watch got better with time. And they weren't looking to ending them any time soon. So what I find myself doing is catching up later online. This happened with Season 5 of Gossip Girl. I caught up in one lazy day and it was fabulous. I was amazed to see my ever trend-setting Chuck Bass still with his remarkable suited styles that always made me wonder how he is able to pull them off every single time. Sometimes I think, if only politicians spiced up their look like Chuck Bass does. Don't ask me why I think that way. But I personally find politics way off my thinking radar and I pay more attention to the tailored suits worn by the individuals than what they are talking about. Talk about color, fabric, styles, blocking, Chuck does them all. I was really glad to be watching GG for my favorite actor's demeanor in those suits. That character was well thought of and executed in a stylish professional manner that I like to call "above the common." Chuck reminds me of some men in suits captured by Scott Schuman in his "The Sartorialist" book. I'm sure Scott would approve of the "umph" factor that Chuck brings to dressing up. I look forward to the many styles of Chuck. Who knows, I may start a Chuck Bass Suiting Up Diary for the fun of it.
