I Jumped on the Lupita Wagon

Celebs have the opportunity to wear any and numerous designer clothes, which gives them the privilege to try many options and definitely find their perfect fit for their bodies and complexions. But it surprises me when they appear on the red carpet, dressed terribly that I often wonder if they spend time to carefully select their pieces. Or could they probably have hired inexperienced stylists? How do they end up looking horrible when they have numerous racks of outfits to choose from? It's no surprise that these days people are all for standing out or making fashion statements. But sometimes they take their fashion choices way too far and end up overwhelming or even scaring fashion lovers.
I couldn't help but fall in love with Lupita Nyong'o's style when I first saw her on the Golden Globe Awards red carpet. She has managed to appear in clothes that flatter her shape and her complexion. She does not stick to a specific style and she chooses outfits that accentuate her shape. She does not show too much skin like some celebs usually do. Here are my favorites of her styles till date.

Grammy Awards 2014 - Lacking in Taste

This year's Grammy Award red carpet fashion was a disappointment to me. I was unimpressed with the looks that I could not come up with ten favorites. Here are my top five choices.

5) Anna Kendrick

4) Louise Roe

3) Desiree Estrada

2) Taylor Swift

1) Ciara

I Can Still See Piles of Snow and Spring Collections are Already In!

Talk about annoying marketing tactics. Do designers really want me to go to stores and pick up that lime green see-through skirt when the cold is yet to see the best days of winter and the heaters are still running on 85 degrees? I understand that the first person in the market eats the largest slice but come on, really? Before you know it, you'll see "Spring Sale" advertisement in February. Jeez people, take a break and look at the needs of customers. Don't shove what we do not need down our throats. It calls for impulse buying. I'm sure no one is listening to my rants but if designers see a drop in sale, then they will probably think twice. Okay fellow consumers, be wise. Buy what you need and not what you think you would need because come Spring, what you buy might become outdated. Designers, leave the boots and jackets for a while, we still need them! Thanks.
