Just a Little Garnish

How do you get somebody's when you want them to notice something? Recently, I learned about the little tweaks people can do to something to make it difficult to ignore. It's a challenge to make something unique but the addition of a 'little something' can add to its appeal. You might have started telling me to make my point already. I changed the look of my Etsy shop recently and the feedback was off the chats. The items didn't necessarily change but the presentation did. I had formally presented the items in an unappealing plain background and didn't think of the damage that did to the appearance of the page. The change of background and the addition of character made the difference I needed. I recently thought of what made me stop to view an Instagram page or a web site. The answer was simple - character. The character of a page might be something that either beautifies or makes it weird. Either way, it is something that shouts, "stop and notice me."
